Carlo’s Bakery, best known as the setting of the TLC series “Cake Boss,” will celebrate the grand opening of its first California location at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica next month.
“We’re taking the bakery to California – I can’t believe it!,” said master baker Buddy Valastro, who will be on hand for the 7 a.m. opening ceremony on Nov. 18.
“We’re always asked when we’ll make it out there and I honestly couldn’t be more humbled to say the big day is finally here,” he said. “Carlo’s Bakery has come such a long way since Hoboken. I’m touched by the outpouring of support and encouragement we receive from fans to grow the business. I know my father would be so proud. I just want to give everyone a little piece of that Hoboken magic and I’m so thrilled that Santa Monica is the next stop on our journey.”
The 22nd Carlo’s location will offer the brand’s full menu of signature treats, including cannoli, lobster tail and cupcakes, along with over-the-top custom cakes for all occasions made famous by Valastro on “Cake Boss.”
Established in 1910 in Hoboken, Carlo’s Bakery has seven locations in New Jersey, three in Texas and two each in New York and Pennsylvania, along with Las Vegas; Orlando; Atlanta; the Mall of America in Bloomington, Minnesota; Uncasville, Connecticut; and Sao Paulo, Brazil.
