It took 31 firefighters about 30 minutes to put out a fire in the ground floor of a two-story apartment building under construction in Westwood near the UCLA campus, authorities said.

It was reported at 10:10 p.m. in the 1600 block of Thayer Avenue, Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

No injuries were reported, Humphrey said.
