Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicides detectives are investigating the deaths of two people in a Diamond Bar house fire this morning.
The blaze was first reported about 4:45 a.m. in the 3600 block of Crooked Creek Drive, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher.
The knockdown was declared at 5:18 a.m.
An adult male and an adult female were pronounced dead at the scene, according to Deputy Grace Medrano. A third person who also lived in the home was missing.
“There were no working smoke detectors” in the home, County Fire Capt. Tony Imbrenda told NBC4 from the scene.
A dog also was found dead in the two-story home, according to NBC4.
