Mechanical issues forced an American Airlines flight from the Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport headed to Santa Barbara Sunday to divert and land without incident at Los Angeles International Airport.

American Airlines Flight 1834 left the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport at 10:15 a.m. and touched down safely at LAX at 11:13 a.m., said LAX spokesperson Jocelyn Steele.

There were 110 people aboard the aircraft and no injuries were reported, Steele said.

It was not immediately known what the mechanical issues were, she said.
