A 26-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash Saturday morning on the southbound Harbor (110) Freeway in South Los Angeles.

The crash was reported at 2:07 a.m. just north of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, the California Highway Patrol reported.

Chris Escobar was riding a black 2008 Kawasaki Ninja at an unknown speed in the No. 3 lane when the bike veered to the right and off the roadway where it struck a concrete wall, the CHP reported.

The Los Angeles resident was ejected from the motorcycle and pronounced dead at the scene.

All but one southbound lane was shut down for the crash investigation and reopened at 4:30 a.m.

The CHP’s Central Los Angeles office asked anyone with information regarding the crash to call them at (213) 744-2331.
