Rapper Mac Miller was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving Thursday following a single-vehicle crash in the Hollywood Hills area, police said.
The 26-year-old rapper, whose real name is Malcolm McCormick, was taken into custody after he allegedly fled on foot from the scene of the crash, which occurred about 12:50 a.m. near Fryman and Brookdale roads, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
According to the LAPD, the vehicle went over a curb and struck a power pole, and McCormick and his two passengers allegedly got out and ran off.
McCormick was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, with bail set at $15,000, police said. He was released about 9:25 a.m., the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department reported.
