An LAWestMedia.com reader reports that there was a major police incident in Venice near Abbott Kinney on the evening of November 2.
The reader reports that a man was shot at 515 San Juan Avenue and rushed to the hospital in critical condition. He sent the photos below showing several Los Angeles Police Department patrol cars set up at a perimeter looking for the shooter.
Our source was concerned because while the neighborhood was sealed off and a search conducted, several more crime calls came over the Los Angeles Police Department Pacific Community police radio that appeared to go unanswered.
The nearest incident to San Juan Avenue on the LAPD website crime map shows an “assault with a deadly weapon” incident on Windward Avenue and Speedway at 5 PM on Wednesday, October 31.
According to the LAPD crime map, there were only three crime incidents in that immediate Venice area from October 31 to November 2:
