Taylor Swift won four awards, including artist of the year, while Camila Cabello also won four, including new artist of the year, at Tuesday evening’s American Music Awards at the Microsoft Theater.

Swift also won for favorite female artist, pop/rock, tour of the year and favorite album, pop/rock, “Reputation.”

The four American Music Awards gave Swift 23 all time, breaking the previous record for a female artist of 21 held by the late Whitney Houston.

To win artist of the year, Swift beat won Drake, Imagine Dragons, Post Malone and Ed Sheeran.

Cabello also won for collaboration of the year, favorite music video, and favorite song, pop/rock, all for “Havana,” which featured Young Thug.

Cabello beat out Cardi B, Khalid, Dua Lipa and XXXTentacion to win favorite new artist.

Cardi B and Kane Brown each won three awards.

Cardi B won for favorite artist, rap/hip-hop, favorite song, rap/hip- hop, “Bodak Yellow (Money Moves)” and favorite song, soul/R&B, “Finesse,” a collaboration with Bruno Mars.

Brown won for favorite male artist, country, favorite album, country, “Kane Brown” and favorite song, country, “Heaven.”

Cardi B and Drake each led all artists with eight nominations. Drake did not receive an award.

The awards show, televised on ABC, featured an array of musical performances, including an opening performance by Swift of “I Did Something Bad,” in a sparkly one-piece and thigh-high boots as a cobra emerged over the flames on stage.

The American Music Awards is billed as the “world’s biggest fan-voted award show.” The nominees are based on key fan interactions as reflected on Billboard.com, including streaming, album and digital song sales, radio airplay, social activity and touring from Sept. 15, 2017-Aug. 9, 2018.
