It took 52 Los Angeles firefighters 25 minutes to put out flames today in a postal annex undergoing exterior renovation at the Federal Building in Westwood, authorities said.
It was reported at about 6:15 p.m. in a one-story building at 11000 Wilshire Boulevard, said the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Brian Humphrey.
“The annex housed several businesses including a post office,” Humphrey said. The fire was near post boxes in the 225-sq. ft. annex.
It did not appear an adjacent credit union and cafeteria were damaged by the fire, he said. No injuries were reported.
