SANTA ANA (CNS) - LA KISS of the Arena Football League will hold their final open tryouts for the 2015 season Saturday at Santa Ana College, part of their efforts to rebound from a 3-15 record during their inaugural season.

The tryouts will be held from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and include a 40-yard dash, 20- yard shuttle run, long jump, the “L drill” in which players run around cones positioned in the shape of an L, and specific drills for each position group, according to Grady Tucker Jr., the team’s director of scouting.

The team is expecting 75 to 120 players to participate.

Players registering online by 4 p.m. at lakissfootball.com will pay the early registration fee of $80. The fee at the event is $95 and must be paid in cash. Registration begins at 8 a.m. All participants will receive an LA KISS T-shirt.

Players must bring shoes for field turf, water, tape and identification.

Trainers will not tape players.

The KISS found two starters at last year’s open tryouts, defensive back A.J. Cruz and fullback Sam Campbell.

The KISS is scheduled to open training camp next Friday at Santa AnaCollege, begin regular-season play March 27 at Portland, and play their home opener April 11 at Anaheim’s Honda Center against the expansion Las Vegas Outlaws in a matchup of teams with celebrity owners.

KISS’ ownership group includes Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of the rock band KISS while Motley Crue lead singer Vince Neil is a co-owner of the Outlaws.

More information on the tryouts is available by calling the team at (714) 462-KISS.
